How the calculation works
Dose scaling is water being treated × label product amount ÷ label water volume. The presets use the manufacturer’s metric ratio, not its rounded gallon equivalent: Prime standard conditioning uses 5 mL per 200 L and Flourish comprehensive supplement uses 5 mL per 250 L. Official directions were reviewed on September 30, 2026; confirm your bottle before each use.
Prime distinguishes treating replacement water separately from adding directly to the aquarium. Direct aquarium addition uses whole-tank actual water volume. This tool excludes emergency multipliers and blocks the standard preset above 30°C because the label gives conditional guidance there. Flourish uses whole-tank water and the result is one application; the maker describes once or twice weekly use.
Custom mode accepts only a transparent conditioner or fertilizer ratio in mL or grams and liters or US gallons. It does not choose a product, concentration, frequency or safe dose. No medication or off-label dosing is calculated. Never substitute another similarly named product or convert drops/capfuls without a verified product-specific measure.
Worked example
For 20 liters of replacement water treated separately, the standard Prime metric ratio scales to 0.5 mL. For 100 liters of whole-tank water, the Flourish comprehensive supplement ratio scales to 2 mL per application.
Common questions
Why do gallons on the bottle differ from exact conversion?
Manufacturer gallon equivalents can be rounded. The presets preserve the metric label ratio and convert US gallons using 3.785411784 L per gallon, so the calculation remains internally consistent.
Can I enter a medication ratio?
This tool is for conditioners and fertilizers only. Medication suitability, dosage, timing, interactions and species safety are outside its scope; follow qualified guidance and the exact medicine label.
